Today is the start of Pride and also #LGBTQFamiliesDay, which sits between Mother’s Day and Father’s Day to remind us that families come in many forms! Share with the hashtag on social media in support and celebration of LGBTQ families! Not sure what to share? Use a family photo or download one of our images or family coloring sheets! Thanks, as always, to Family Equality for their support of this event!
- Post, tweet, or share on any social media channel in celebration and support of LGBTQ families on June 1, 2021, and include the hashtag #LGBTQFamiliesDay. Share a family photo, an anecdote about your family, some longer reflections, or just some words of support. It’s up to you! Here are two coloring sheets (PDF) for drawing a picture of your family, if you like, courtesy of Family Equality.
- Follow the hashtag throughout the day and share the stories, images, and thoughts from other participants.
- Change the frame on your Facebook profile image: Go here and search for #LGBTQFamiliesDay.

Read the Blog Posts
This day started as a blogging event, although it has now expanded to include all social media. If you post on your own blog or have other longer pieces you’ve written, however, you may still submit the links to those posts below, and I’ll add them to a list for all to see. (No more than two posts per author, please, and make sure submitted posts are set to “Public” viewing.)
