Helpusadopt.org, a national 501(c)(3) adoption grant program, will be accepting applications for its next cycle of adoption grants until October 7, with the grants awarded in November.
HelpUsAdopt.org is a national equality-based adoption grant program that assists couples and individuals—regardless of ethnicity, gender, marital status, race, religion, or sexual orientation—with the costs of adoption. Founded in 2007 by Becky Fawcett, a mom by adoption, the organization offers financial grants up to $20,000 to help families complete their adoptions and bring their children home.
“We strive to remove the financial barrier for these families, making adoption more accessible to all so that more children in need come home,” said Fawcett in a press statement.
Since its launch, HelpUsAdopt.org has helped 661 families with grants totaling more than $6.2 million. In 2023 alone, Helpusadopt.org will award $1.2 million in adoption grants.
Helpusadopt.org helps fund domestic, international, and foster care adoptions, but does not provide grants for embryo adoptions, step-parent, or co-parent (second-parent) adoptions, nor for contested adoptions.
Helpusadopt.org awards grants four times a year. The next cycle of grants will be awarded this November, with applications due October 7th. Get more information and apply free of charge on their website.
