My three-year-old hasn’t gotten into pirates the way some of his peers have. That’s okay by me, as I’ve never really understood the whole fascination with them. Sailors, sure. Boats and adventure, sure. But I’ve never been able to get around the whole loot and pillage subtext, especially after spending so much time trying to teach my son to share. Still, I may broach the subject of naptime tomorrow with “Arrrh, get in yer bunk, me hearty, or there’ll be no booty for ye tonight.”
