The San Francisco Chronicle has a great article on Gregory Stewart and Stillman White and their five adopted children. It’s a wonderful family portrait, showing the usual parenting issues the two face as well as the extras—being gay parents, adoptive parents, parents to at-risk children, and white parents to children of color.
Bonus points to the Chronicle for resisting the common media urge to include a quote from some right-winger on why opposite-sex parents are still better.
I find it hard sometimes to manage with one child. I can’t imagine five. Stewart and White are true heroes for accepting all of these children into their lives, and doing it with so much love.
