Blog Action Day 2007

blogactionday_125×125.jpgOctober 15 is Blog Action Day, a time for bloggers to unite in support of one issue for a single day. This year, the theme is “The Environment.” The event is similar in structure to the Blogging for LGBT Families Day I’ve held for the past two years in June. Just blog about the topic next Monday. The Blog Action Day organizers (who clearly didn’t think about acronyms) are not pushing any particular agenda, and encourage people to write in their own voices about what matters to them. As parents, as well as denizens of this planet, I’m sure we all have a few things that fall into that category.

They are also asking bloggers to consider donating their blog earnings that day to an environmental charity. (They provide a list of suggested charities, but you are free to choose your own.)

Visit the Blog Action Day site to find out more.

  1. I am currently running a month-long blogging campaign on environment-related matters at The Giving Hands (http://thegivinghands.org), which had begun on Sept 15th, and will conclude on Oct 15th in conjunction with Blog Action Day. And I’d like to invite you over to my blog to participate in the campaign. Perhaps you have some tips or experience you’d like to share?
