Helen and I discuss the delightful geekiness of the new Lego Harry Potter Wii game. I also share a book about being a nonbiological mother—and we then discuss why the bio/nonbio distinction doesn’t fit for us, even though we did not adopt. Helen also shares a book that she hopes will help her figure out adolescent boys and what it means to be a man.

Thanks for the book suggestions, especially the one pertaining to adolescent boys. I often feel like parenting this age is happening on a completely different (and far smellier!) planet than parenting a younger child.
Well, my experience has been that the pre-potty trained phase is still the smelliest, but I agree that it’s a whole different world as they get older. Once they hit school, all bets are off. I can’t even imagine what it will be like once their hormones kick in.
Would it be possible for you to also sell the Kindle versions of the books in the Mombian Store? There are a couple of books in the store that I’m planning to get soon but I need to get the Kindle versions. I’d hate for you to miss out on your commission.
That’s a good idea! It may take me some time to add the Kindle versions, though–I have to do so individually for each book. In the meantime, however, if you click through to the actual Amazon site from the Mombian shop (usually by clicking the line that says “46 new or used available from $2.45” or whatever the numbers are), and then go find the Kindle version, Amazon should still credit Mombian for originating the sale. Thanks for your support!
