Actor Matt Bomer, the star of USA Network’s White Collar, officially came out as gay during a speech accepting the New Generation Arts and Activism Award from the Steve Chase Humanitarian Awards. Bomer and his partner Simon Halls have three children. He thanked “my beautiful family” in his speech. (Thanks, Towleroad!)
In White Collar, Bomer plays a con man—but one has to assume he is not so adept at deception in real life, as he was long rumored to be gay.
You can also catch Bomer along with an all-star cast in Los Angeles on March 3 for a benefit reading of Dustin Lance Black’s play “8,” about the Proposition 8 lawsuit for marriage equality in California. Bomer plays plaintiff Paul Katami.
Glad to see this, especially more men coming out as gay Dads!
