Watch: Teen Presents on “Growing Up with Two Moms” at National Association of the Deaf Conference

Jehanne McCullough is 17, a senior at the Maryland School for the Deaf, and has two moms. She recently gave a presentation at the 2013 Jr. NAD (National Association of the Deaf) Conference, in which she discusses her moms and what schools can do to be more inclusive of children with same-sex parents. Watch the video below.

McCullough is no newcomer to activism. When she was 13, she was interviewed by Endeavor, the quarterly publication of the American Society of Deaf Children. She told the magazine that her family includes her two moms and her godmother, all of whom are Deaf. She discussed her pride in being a member of the Deaf community, and explained that she has been politically active “for as long as I can remember.” In addition, she likes to vlog, act, and travel with her family, and has been featured on Nickelodeon’s Nick News with Linda Ellerbee. Add her to the list of young leaders who are making their mark on the world!
