On this day in 2005, when my son was two, I launched a blog “dedicated to providing relevant, useful, and just plain fun reading for lesbian moms.” Now my son has just graduated from elementary school, and both he and this blog have led me places I wouldn’t have imagined nine years ago.
Thanks to all of you — lesbian moms and otherwise — who have stopped by here to read, comment, and share your thoughts. We are diverse in our families and our approaches to parenting, but united by our desire to make a better world for our children.
Feel free to use this as an excuse to eat cake today. If I could, I’d make one for all of you.
Happy birthday, Dana and Mombian! I am grateful that this community exists. I remember when you launched and thought it was brilliant. #GoodStuff
Thanks for all of your support over the years, Elisa!
