I can think of no better way to start today than with this video of U.S. Inaugural Poet Richard Blanco’s new poem, “Until We Could.” It captures the spirit of the fight for marriage equality — but more than that, it captures the spirit of marriage.
The poem and video were commissioned by Freedom to Marry to mark the 10th anniversary of the freedom to marry in the U.S. The video, narrated by Robin Wright and Ben Foster, shows a wonderful range of couples of various ages and races, some with kids (or kids on the way), and others without, in times both happy and sad. Watch it with a loved one (and have tissues handy).
