This week’s Posts of the Week are all about being pregnant or having a spouse/partner who is pregnant. Go read what these women’s experience has been, and then leave them some comments of encouragement!
- Liz at Baby Mamas Drama (Texas) and her spouse S already have a son. S is pregnant again, and Liz is feeling some of the same disconnection I felt when my own spouse moved from constant monitoring by the fertility doctor to less frequent check-ins with her OB/GYN. Regardless, and despite S’s morning sickness, Liz says she’s “Walking on Sunshine.”
- Mary and Kara at Our Needle in the Haystack (Ohio) are also already parents (of twins) and Mary is “16w4d” into another pregnancy. She’s starting to feel the baby kick, and invites us to share the feeling: “Just imagine dumping a bag of Pop Rocks candy in your tummy.”
- Lauren and Sarah at 2 Brides 2 Mums (U.K.) are at the “Half Baked – 20 Weeks” point of Lauren’s pregnancy, and report that her morning sickness is easing off—and they have also felt the first kicks from their little one.
- Amber at The Goblin Child (U.K.), who already has twins with partner Kirsty, writes of “Illness in Pregnancy,” sharing her own recent experience and asking, “Have you noticed that illness flattens you more when you’re pregnant?  How do you overcome it, or do you just go with the inconvenience?”
- One of the Mothers McGill (southwestern U.S.) has written “A Letter to Our Son,” at 37 weeks and 3 days pregnant (as of January 31). She draws a lovely parallel between waiting for news of pregnancy and waiting in the last days before birth.
