Tomorrow,  June 1, is not only the start of Pride Month, but also Blogging for LGBTQ Families Day! Participation is simple, and all are welcome to blog in celebration and support of LGBTQ families. Sharing our stories can be a powerful act of community and resistance. Here’s all you need to know.
The Key Thing
Just post where you normally do, and submit the link to your post here. Don’t have a blog? Public Facebook posts (or other social media posts) work just fine; here’s how.
Tell all your friends to participate as well!
Got questions? Try these answers.
Need ideas for what to post? Try these (but feel free to do other things as well).
What Happens Next
I will compile the links as they come in, and create a master list for all to see on June 1. I’ll keep it updated throughout the day as posts come in, so stop back to see what’s new! (If you get your post in early, though, more people will have the chance to see it.)
Please also follow along on Twitter with the hashtag #LGBTQfamilies and at the Mombian Facebook page.
I hope you’ll find some great new blogs to read and stories to inspire, as well as some new readers for your own blog or social media channels—and maybe even some new friends.
Thanks to GLAAD, Family Equality Council, and HRC for sponsoring the event and helping to spread the word. The foundation of this day, however, has always been the individual bloggers who make it happen, sharing their stories, insights, and dreams. Thanks to all of you who are taking part!
Hi! Do you want us to include the badge in our posts? I can’t find the code for it. :-)
Nevermind! Just copied and pasted. I hope that’s okay. Let me know if not! :-)
