My spouse Helen and I were honored to be interviewed for the becoming babyREADY podcast with Sam Leeson, where we talk about our own path to parenthood more than 20 years ago, the creation of Mombian, and our love of women’s hockey! Listen here or on your favorite podcast app!

Sam is a certified fertility coach and educator, birth and postnatal doula, childbirth educator, retired La Leche League Canada leader (now on the Board of Directors), and parenting coach who specializes in serving the 2SLGBTQIIA+ community but works with people of all identities. She’s also a queer mom and stepmom herself. She offers her babyREADY coaching services for people planning their families as well as parents and grandparents with kids of all ages, in both Canada and the U.S.
Her becoming babyREADY podcast is always a good listen with a variety of interesting guests. (You’ll have to decide if Helen and I continue the trend.) And her Instagram feed is a great source of ongoing parenting tips!
Even though Sam is Canadian and supports the Toronto Sceptres of the PWHL (Professional Women’s Hockey League), while Helen and I are die-hard Boston Fleet fans, we are united in our love of women’s sports and had a great conversation about parenting, inclusive kids’ books, and more. I hope you’ll have a listen!
