The awesome ruling for marriage equality came, as it happens, just as my son is finishing the school year. I’m going to focus for the next while, then, on a few pieces related to marriage, but will scale back posting frequency a bit to spend time with the person I’m actually married to and our son.

I’m heading off today to our nation’s capital for the 2014 LGBT Media Journalists Convening in Washington D.C., hosted by the National Lesbian and Gay Journalists Association and sponsored by the Evelyn and Walter Haas Jr. Fund. We’ll be networking and discussing the theme of “Honing Our Game” — but we’ll also be having a party on Saturday night, and you’re invited!
I’m heading off this week to the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force’s Creating Change conference in Houston, Texas.
