Adopting Ahava

A boy who was adopted by two Jewish mamas is excited about adopting a puppy of his own. At the shelter, however, he notices that everyone is ignoring the older dogs in favor of the puppies. Jonathan remembers how he felt when no one initially wanted to adopt him, an older child, and so he chooses an older dog to take home. He names his new pet Ahava, the Hebrew word for love.
