Young witch Abby tries to help her mom by caring for her little sister and by working in the family’s magical coffee shop. In her spare time, she hangs out with her three friends, wolf-girl Gita, ghost Hannah, and pumpkinhead Silas (who despises pumpkin spice lattes). One day, however, Abby accidentally opens a portal to another dimension, unleashing an invasion of chaos bunnies, whose insatiable appetites threaten the town. Abby and her friends, of course, must work to save it, even as Abby is still learning to control her magical powers.
Abby and Gita also have crushes on each other, although this is not a primary focus. Abby and her family read as Black; Hannah wears a hijab.
