Wednesday Wilson Fixes All Your Problems (Wednesday Wilson #2)

Wednesday Wilson continues her quest to be an entrepreneur in this second book of an early chapter book series. Wednesday’s been in a funk, though, since she hasn’t yet found her next business idea. In fact, her two moms and her brother also seem to be in bad moods.

At school, a classmate convinces her brother Mister that a “worry stone” will calm his nerves by offering something to focus on instead of his worries. Wednesday therefore gives Mister her marble—and realizes that with everything kids have to worry about, perhaps her marble collection is entrepreneurial gold. But has she oversold the marbles’ power of assistance?

Wednesday is mixed race and has two moms, one Black and one White, but their family structure isn’t the focus of the book. A secondary plot line involving a family tree project, however, gently reminds readers that family trees don’t have to look like trees, but can have many configurations.

Wednesday also wears a button-down shirt and tie, offering gender creative representation as well.

Fun and chatty, with themes of friendship, perseverance, and basic business concepts woven lightly throughout.
