Thomas Beatie and his wife Nancy welcomed a baby girl into the world last Sunday. Beatie, a transgender man, made headlines in March when he announced he was pregnant. Best wishes to the new family. Kermit Love, the costume designer who helped Jim Henson create Big Bird, has died at age 91. He is survived by his partner of 50 years, Christopher Lyall.
