Better Nate Than Ever (Better Nate Than Ever)

Nate runs away from his small-minded small town to try and get a part in a Broadway show. Readers will surmise that he is gradually discovering he is gay, although author Tim Federle keeps that a small part of the overall plot, and also commendably keeps Nate’s own understanding of his sexuality ambivalent for the moment, which feels right for where the character is in his own self-awareness.
