The sequel to the classic Daddy’s Roommate. Here, the young boy serves as best man at his dad’s wedding. The story is sweet, but feels slightly dated now; when the boy asks if two men can marry, the father’s partner replies, “We call it a commitment ceremony…. That’s like a wedding.” Still, the happiness of the family (including the boy’s mom, the father’s ex-wife) is unconditional, and that’s worthy of note.
