With simple text and photos, this book shows some of the many things fathers do, such as buying food, working as a doctor, working at home as a writer, helping kids with crafts, cooking, and playing with, hugging, and loving their kids. The families are of various racial/ethnic identities, and one two-dad family is among them. The prose is basic and straightforward, and not particularly captivating (“Gina’s dad is a doctor. He works hard”), but children may appreciate seeing photos of families rather than drawn illustrations.
