“Do you remember when we first met?/It was a moment I won’t soon forget,” begins this sweet rhyming ode to children from their parents by actors Leslie Odom, Jr. and Nicolette Robinson. As the story continues, we see a variety of families and scenes of everyday life as the parents make observations about their children (“So many questions!”) and continue to express their love and how much they enjoy their children’s company. Two-mom and two-dad families are among them.
The text is sweet and affirming, illuminated by Joy Hwang Ruiz’s warmly glowing illustrations.
