Being a princess isn’t about finding a prince, asserts this empowering picture book written by a single, gay, Latino dad. The four brave and kind princesses in it, each with a different racial/ethnic origin and from a different family type (including one with two dads and one with a single dad), have big dreams, including exploring space and traveling the world. But since they’re expected to rule, these four friends have to work together to convince their families that it’s okay to want more, too.
