An anthropomorphic hedgehog police officer must help her new neighbors, who turn out to be space aliens, when they accidentally build their home on a beaver dam and long for something drier. The aliens seem intended to be a two-woman couple (to the extent that we can talk about gender as relates to space aliens); they have names that seem female and one refers to the other as “wife.” Additionally, Officer Hedgehog has a rainbow flag outside her home, but it’s unclear what her identity is. We never learn why the aliens came to Earth, though, nor what type of home they finally settle in, since the officer promises to help them find one “tomorrow”—but then the story ends. Still, there’s a well-intended message here about reaching out to help others, even those who seem very different.
