Lambda Literary and Stonewall Book Award-winner Hasan Namir writes in free verse about his and his husband’s journey to parenthood via surrogacy. Most of the verses take the form of letters to his son, in which he describes falling in love with his husband, the challenges of surrogacy, and their first year as a family.
Despite the purported audience of his son, however, some of the poems are clearly intended for adult readers. Poignant and moving, each page is full of love for husband, son, and the magic of fatherhood.
