Flying with an Infant

Airplane CabinFlying with an infant? The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) has some useful tips on how to calm crying and unblock ears. Parent Hacks has great advice on what to bring, how to board, and why you might not want to take a toilet-training toddler into or out of DC National.

My experience has been that flying with a five-week-old was easy (he slept), a six-month-old difficult (he didn’t), and a two-year-old exhausting (he spent the entire trip pointing out at the wing and exclaiming “Plane!” while bouncing up and down). I expect the cycle to continue for a while.
