I loved paper airplanes as a kid, and now have lots of fun making them for my son. He’s not quite old enough to fold them himself, but when he is, we may try the self-proclaimed “Best Paper Airplane in the World.” Thanks to Lifehacker for stepping away from their usual productivity tips to point out this fun project. They have links to both step-by-step instructions and a video showing how it’s done.
For me right now, a classic design is faster to make and better for instant pre-schooler gratification. If you’re feeling aeronautical, though, you can try the “world’s best” above or any one of the many designs at Alex’s Paper Airplanes.
If you’re into scrapbooking, you might even try sticking a few small paper cutouts evenly on both sides of the plane for decoration, or use this to engage a second child who might not be as into the airplanes themselves.
