Freedom to Marry Week: Day One

Freedom to Marry WeekIt’s the first day of Freedom to Marry Week, and I’m taking the suggestion of Kelly at O for Obsessive and posting something each day about marriage equality. (I’ll also have non-marriage related posts all week so things don’t get too monotonous.)

I’ll start with a couple of posts about the Week itself:

  • The folks at Freedom to Marry have a full listing of Freedom to Marry Week events and resources, including a list of easy ways you can get involved.
  • Here’s another easy way: I will be hosting a “Freedom to Marry Blog Carnival” on February 14. If you write in support of marriage equality this week, or have an older post you’d like to share on the subject, leave a comment here or send e-mail to freedomtomarry@mombian.com. I’m particularly interested in posts with original arguments or perspectives, though it’s fine, too, if you simply want to give vent to all the old reasons. I’ll compile and showcase all submissions at Mombian on February 14.
