I’m starting a new feature here at Mombian, highlighting some of the posts from independent parenting bloggers that have especially caught my eye. I’ll keep the more “newsy” items in my LGBT Parenting Roundups—what I want to feature here are more personal posts about our lives as parents and LGBT people.
I don’t mean to imply that these posts are the “best” of anything—”best” is always subjective. Instead, I want to choose posts that make me laugh, cry, or think, or that showcase some facet of parenting that I feel deserves more notice.
I hope the feature gives us all a chance to explore some new blogs and maybe even make new friends. If you come across any posts that you’d like to nominate (your own or someone else’s), leave a comment or send me an e-mail. I expect the picks will weigh towards LGBT parenting blogs, but I’m happy to consider posts from non-LGBT blogs as well, especially if they reflect on commonalities of our parenting experience.
This week’s pick is from Twins & a Toddler, “two midwestern Moms raising our three kids the best we know how and having the time of our lives.” In the post “Wise Beyond Her Years,” one mom relates a very funny conversation about marriage with two of her children. Enjoy!
I would like to suggest you read some from this blog: http://raisingqueerkids.wordpress.com/about/
A very inspiring LGBT family.
Great idea! I’m looking forward to reading new blogs!
