As we head into the end of a milestone week for LGBT equality, please enjoy this short video of three California same-sex families, including two dads (with their daughter) and two moms, talking about what this week’s Supreme Court rulings on marriage mean to them.
On Monday, let us continue working towards marriage equality, employment protections, and transgender equality in every state. Let us remember that social justice means continuing to fight systems of oppression based on race, ethnicity, gender, class, physical ability, and more— for all of us carry multiple identities within us. This weekend, however, I hope we can all celebrate, with loved ones or in a crowd, and remember the moral arc of the universe has bent a little more this week.
