What’s the best way to keep years of progress towards LGBTQ equality from slipping away? Vote! In many states, you can do so right now. Here’s how!
Visit Vote.org for a list of all the states that offer early voting and when they do so.  Make sure, too, that you’re registered to vote and have a plan to get an absentee ballot or get to the polls.
Also, to make sure you can put your plan into action, visit MomsRising to share your plan for voting and get their free voting checklist, which includes not only helpful information, but also links to coloring pages to keep your kiddos occupied if you have to wait in line.
Voting early can mean avoiding the lines, though—or it can free you up to help others get to the polls on Election Day. Right now, early voting turnout is higher among Republicans. It’s still early yet, but even so, that’s worrisome, given Republicans’ anti-LGBTQ track record. This is exactly the time we need to pull out all the stops.
Go vote—for yourself and your kids. (Though if they’re over 18, they should vote, too!) Do it now, if you can—because as a parent, you know that any day can sprout an emergency change of schedule. Don’t miss your chance to help make a difference.
