I’m Proud to #ReadWithLove on #ReadAcrossAmericaDay

I launched my Mombian Database of LGBTQ Family Books, Media, and More because I’ve seen the power that representation can have, both in my own family and with other LGBTQ families and LGBTQ youth. That’s why I’m also proud to join PFLAG in their new #ReadWithLove campaign supporting the freedom to learn for all students. Here’s a roundup of some pieces I’ve written recently on the topic, and a bit more about the campaign.

#ReadWithLove

And of course, here’s the Mombian Database of LGBTQ Family Books, Media, and More, which now has more than 850 items (and counting). You can search and filter by topics and/or identities, and read extensive reviews to find books for your own shelves or those of your local schools and libraries.

PFLAG’s #ReadWithLove is giving people more ways of engaging proactively to support the freedom to learn for all students in their community, from learning how to organize locally, to donating inclusive, accurate, and honest materials to libraries and schools, to participating in PFLAG’s weekly live broadcast series called Something to Talk About Live. Campaign partners include The Ally Coalition, Red Wine and Blue, and the Book Ban Busters Coalition.
