Mombian’s 20th Anniversary Covered in GO Magazine

I’m honored that GO Magazine has just published an interview with me, “Two Decades of Queer Parenting Visibility—A Conversation With Dana Rudolph,” about the 20th anniversary of Mombian and the changes I’ve seen in LGBTQ parental rights and representation over the past 20 years.

Go Magazine article: Two Decades of Queer Parenting Visibility—A Conversation With Dana Rudolph

Thanks to Mary Rasura for such a lovely write-up of our conversation and a nice overview of Mombian and its history. Among other things, she notes, “Over the next two decades, she [Dana] chronicled and contextualized some of the most significant moments in LGBTQ life: marriage equality, the first wave of national anti-bullying awareness in schools, and ongoing battles over parentage laws. She also became one of the foremost trackers of LGBTQ-inclusive children’s books.”

I also stand by my quote about what keeps me going: “Just knowing there’s people out there for whom this is useful information and has inspired them in some way.” If you’re one of them, thank you for reading.

I hope you’ll go have a read, where you can also see the advice I offered for new LGBTQ parents (and even us old ones, really).
