Mombian Resource Directory Has 500th Link

MombianI’m pleased to announce that the Mombian Resource Directory for LGBT Parents now has over 500 links on starting a family, raising children (both LGBT-specific sites and general, but LGBT-friendly, sites), LGBT politics and law, online and offline groups, blogs, and forums for LGBT parents, and much more. It covers the entire LGBT spectrum, not just lesbian moms.

As I said when it hit the 400 mark, there are still gaps in my coverage of some topics and regions. Please recommend sites through the Submit New Bookmarks link in the Directory. I’ll create additional categories as needed, including ones for various states and countries. (I do moderate link submissions to prevent malicious entry of links, and retain final editorial control to keep things fresh and on topic. In general, though, I will be as inclusive as possible.)

If you register on the site, you’ll be able to rate the links and create a private list of sites that will appear only to you. Finally, if you register, you’ll have the option to sign up to receive the Mombian Monthly Newsletter by e-mail.

Mombian - Sustenance for Lesbian Moms Finally, because blog chiclets are all the rage, here’s a Mombian chiclet for anyone who would like to use it to link to the Mombian blog or Resource Directory.

Please download it to your own computer (and then upload it to your blog), rather than link to the image file here. (If I find people are doing that, I will change the image name so old image links won’t work.)

Instructions:

  • Right-click the image (Mac users: click and hold) and choose “Download image,” “Save image as…” or “Save picture as…” Follow the prompts in the dialogue box to save to your computer.
  • Upload to your blog as you would any image.
  • Link the image to http://www.mombian.com/ or http://www.mombian.com/resources/
