Today is Clock In for Equality day, which Lambda Legal organized as a “national day of action for workplace fairness for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) workers, and workers living with HIV.”
In honor of the event, here’s an open thread on workplace fairness. For those who work outside the home: Is your workplace what you’d consider fair (and without necessarily naming names, how big is the company and in what industry)? Is there a gap between policy and practice? How out are you at work, and did parenthood change that? What are your coping mechanisms? Feel free to add topics.
