Pride Family Rainbow Party, a just-released EP collection from queer family music project Strawbitty Yops, is joyous, affirming music that kids (and their adults) will enjoy during Pride or any time of year! Pride is not just a month, but a feeling—or rather, many feelings, and I am experiencing several of them right now as I mark personal, professional, and communal milestones.
Pride is almost upon us, and young readers can enjoy a great new batch of Pride-themed picture books this year, from simple, interactive board books for the youngest readers to stories that explore both the history and the current personal impact of Pride.
The Stonewall National Monument could become an official Lego set, if one artist’s project succeeds. While it won’t make up for the shameful distortion of the monument’s history by the current U.S. government, it would be a joyful reminder of the heritage and importance of this LGBTQIA+ landmark.
