A quick note to say I’m going to be offline more than usual over the next few days in preparation for my son starting first grade (!!!) next week. I have a bunch of posts scheduled, though, including the vlog tomorrow, in which Helen and I discuss the classic theme of sperm banks and turkey basters.

Our 6-year-old started grade 2 on Tuesday. According to her “grade 2 is the BEST THING EVER”. Love her enthusiasm & hope it lasts.
It’s the start of grade one around here, too: happy studies for all the kids in our families. May it be a good year all around.
